Local inference
Models run on the appliance next to the sensor, not in the cloud. Detection latency stays below a control cycle; anomaly events fire even when the plant WAN is down.

Sample-accurate buffering
Every ingested sample is written to local NVMe with monotonic sequencing. On reconnect the uplink replays in order — downstream analytics sees no gap.

Bidirectional controller link
The gateway both reads from and writes to the machine controller. A detected fault can throttle the line or raise an alarm without a human in the loop, gated by a per-asset policy.

Zero-touch fleet ops
OS and model updates are signed, declarative, and rollback-safe. A plant can operate air-gapped for weeks; when it reconnects, state converges from a single manifest.
