General principles
This statement describes which personal data DATATRONiQ processes through the website at datatroniq.com, for what purpose, and on what legal basis. Processing is carried out solely within the scope of statutory requirements, in particular the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). For the use of end-device information (cookies and comparable technologies), the requirements of Section 25 of the German TDDDG (formerly TTDSG) apply in addition.
We collect only the data needed for the respective purpose, and we retain it no longer than necessary for that purpose or required by statutory retention obligations.
Visiting the website
When you access a page, our web server records technical connection data required to deliver the content: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, HTTP status code, transferred data volume, browser identifier (user agent), and, if transmitted by your browser, the previously visited page (referrer).
This data is stored in server logs and deleted or anonymized once it is no longer needed for the secure operation of the website, unless there are concrete indications of misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website sets no tracking cookies and embeds no third-party advertising or social-media scripts. For purely technical functions such as remembering your language preference, browser local storage is used only where strictly necessary. Consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG is not required for this, since such storage is strictly necessary within the meaning of Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG to provide the service explicitly requested by the user.
Web analytics with Umami
We use the self-hosted open-source tool Umami on the subdomain a.datatroniq.com to collect aggregated usage statistics (page views, referrers, approximate geographic region, browser used). Umami operates without cookies and without generating individual user identifiers; individuals cannot be re-identified. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
No transfer to third parties or third countries takes place; all analytics data remains on our infrastructure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the statistical evaluation of website use to improve our offering.
Contact and demo enquiries
When you use our contact form, we process the data you provide (first and last name, email address, phone number, optionally company and address, reason for contact, message content) solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (responding to general enquiries).
The data is deleted once the purpose has lapsed and no statutory retention obligations apply. You may object to processing at any time; in that case, we will not be able to continue processing your enquiry.
Contact form and newsletter signup. Form submissions on this site are processed by a service running in the same data center as the website (Hetzner Cloud, Germany). Accepted messages are forwarded to info@datatroniq.com through Mailbox.org Kommunikationsdienste GmbH, Berlin, and then kept in that mailbox under our standard mailbox retention rules. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) for contact requests, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for newsletter signups. For rate limiting, the service additionally holds your IP address in memory for up to ten minutes and then deletes it automatically; this processing stays local and is not shared. Separately, the notification email and the server logs include a truncated hash of your IP address and a hash of the User-Agent for traceability of the spam score; these hash values are subject to the same retention rules as the notification email.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter through the sign-up form on this website. We process only your email address. Submitting the form is your sign-up — it reaches us directly; we do not send a confirmation email or require you to click a link.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or by sending an informal email to privacy@datatroniq.com. After withdrawal, your email address is removed from the distribution list.
Training registrations
Trainings in the DATATRONiQ portfolio are delivered by our training partner Advanced Analytics Academy (advancedanalytics.academy). Registration takes place directly on the Advanced Analytics Academy website; for the data you enter there, Advanced Analytics Academy is the independent controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR. Please consult their privacy notice.
If you exceptionally register for a training session directly with us — for example by email or through the contact form on this website — we process the participant's name, email address, company, role, and phone number to organize the event and dispatch the access information. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the training contract).
If you register third parties (for example, employees of your company), please inform those persons of this privacy policy before transmitting their data.
Applications
Please send applications by email to work@datatroniq.com. We process the documents you submit solely for the purpose of the application procedure. The legal basis is Section 26(1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR; where you voluntarily provide special categories of personal data, the basis is Art. 9(2)(b) GDPR.
If your application is unsuccessful, we delete your documents six months after the procedure ends, unless a longer retention period is required by law or you have explicitly consented to inclusion in our applicant pool.
Recipients and processors
Within DATATRONiQ, personal data is made available only to those persons who need it to fulfil the stated purposes. We otherwise share personal data only where this is necessary to perform a contract, where there is a statutory obligation, or where you have explicitly consented.
With processors who handle personal data on our behalf, in particular for hosting the website and for the technical dispatch of mailings, we have signed agreements under Art. 28 GDPR. A current list of the processors used is available on request.
International transfers
No transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area takes place in connection with this website. Should this change in future, any transfer will only take place on the basis of suitable safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR and after a prior update of this privacy policy.
Retention periods
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or required by retention obligations such as those under commercial or tax law. Specific retention periods, where foreseeable, are stated in the relevant sections above.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights against us:
- Information about the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed (Art. 15 GDPR);
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- Erasure of your data, unless a statutory retention obligation applies (Art. 17 GDPR);
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- Data portability for data you have provided to us on the basis of consent or a contract (Art. 20 GDPR);
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests, in particular for direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR);
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Please direct requests concerning your rights to privacy@datatroniq.com. We respond within the statutory deadline of one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR); for particularly complex requests, this deadline may be extended, in which case we will inform you within the first month.
