About the role
Our platform ingests telemetry from sensors and controllers across modern production floors. Behind it run Go microservices that shape the data in real time, feed anomaly and quality models, and ship results to frontend and customers. Some services live in the edge cluster on the customer site; others in the cloud.
Your stack: Go at the core, plus high test coverage and the usual open-source building blocks. Custom Kubernetes operators, Helm deployments, and observability with Prometheus. You write new services, extend existing ones, build and maintain our Kubernetes operators, and move our platform forward step by step.
We work in a small, tightly coordinated team. Code reviews and pair programming are a fixed part of the week. Every Friday we share interesting finds from the web and new tools in our show-and-tell sessions. As a backend developer you own the core of the platform: frontend, data science, and DevOps build on your services every day.
What are your responsibilities?
- You develop and operate Go microservices that take in, process, and redistribute industrial telemetry.
- You build and maintain our Kubernetes operators — from API design through reconciliation loops to production rollout.
- You own stability and performance — tests, benchmarks, monitoring, and tracing are core competencies you bring.
- You work with frontend, ML, and DevOps — API specs, interface versions, and joint roadmap calls cross your desk.
- You automate manual processes — tooling, scripts, CI pipelines, wherever you see room for improvement.
- You share technical decisions — architecture, libraries, build tooling — and bring new development practices into the team.
What is your qualification?
- At least three years of hands-on Go experience in service architectures; other languages are a plus.
- Comfortable in Kubernetes: deploying your own services and operators, reading logs and metrics, helping out on post-mortem analyses.
- Professional API design — idiomatic REST, Protobuf, documentation, versioning, backward compatibility.
- Software-design sense — you know when a queue helps, when a cache hurts, and when both need to go.
- Strong English, written and spoken.
- Bonus: experience with time series, stream processing, or industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT).
- Bonus: curiosity about AI/ML in a service context — model inference, retrieval, feature pipelines.
